How to Join WriterL

Step One: Professional Bio
First create a 65-word professional biography. Your bio can be as simple as "freelance writer" or list past and present jobs, book titles, awards, web page link and the like. But, please, no more than 65 words.

Your bio will become part of the WriterL Roster. The Roster is distributed, minus email addresses, to members only. This is to help everyone get to know one another and contributes to the civility of the list.

Step Two: Email WriterL Editor
Send an email to the WriterL editor. In the subject line put "New WriterL member."

In the body of the email, put the following:

Your name

Your email address for WriterL

Your 65-word professional biography

You will not be signed up for WriterL until we receive your professional bio and the email where you wish to receive posts.

Step Three: Send in your annual dues
You may send your dues either through PayPal (where you can use a credit card) or by snail mail.
In either case, please send U.S. funds only.

To Pay with PayPal

Go to www.PayPal.com and send $35 to WriterL@chesapeake.net. In the "message" box type New WriterL member and your email.

To Pay by Snail Mail

Please make out your check for $35 to Jon Franklin and mail to WriterL at P.O. Box 940, Chesapeake Beach, MD 20732.

Please put your email address somewhere on your check.

If there are two names printed on the check, please note which name is the member.

To expedite your membership, on the outside of the envelope, please write "new member."
